What Is Fundraising on Behalf of an Organisation?
Fundraiser on behalf of organisation (also known as Fundraiser for Organisation) is one of the three fundraising options available on 4fund.com, allowing people to raise funds worldwide for a chosen charity, non-profit organisation or any other NGO. Whether it's a birthday, charity run, sporting event or any other special occasion, it can be an opportunity to support a meaningful cause.
Fundraiser for Organisation provides a dedicated, customisable page where the organiser can add a title, description, images and videos to encourage donations. All the advanced features (such as Offers and Auctions, Exclusive Content, Moneyboxes, etc.) that can be used in a regular fundraising campaign are also available in Fundraiser for Organisation.
All funds raised through this type of fundraiser go directly to the beneficiary organisation.
Participants involved in fundraising on behalf of the organisation:
- Fixed Beneficiary: The non-governmental organisation on behalf of which the fundraiser is created.
- Organiser: The person who organises the fundraiser on behalf of the designated beneficiary.
- Donator: A person who contributes to the non-governmental organisation by donating to a fundraiser.

Follow these steps to start your global fundraising campaign for the NGO of your choice:
- Go to the fundraiser set-up form
- Select the 'Fundraiser for Organisation'
- Give the title of the fundraiser
- Choose the organisation and the total amount
you want to raise on their behalf - Add photos/videos or choose cover
- Write a description of your fundraiser
- Save the fundraiser

Once you have completed the fundraiser creation process, your fundraiser on behalf of an organisation must be reviewed and accepted by the chosen organisation. Until then, it won't be possible to donate to this fundraiser.
You can find your fundraiser in the 'My Fundraisers' tab, where you can preview and edit it at any time.
The fundraiser on behalf of an organisation becomes visible after the Fixed Beneficiary approves its appearance and content. Organisations know exactly who is raising money for them and how. If the Fixed Beneficiary does not agree with the content or design of the fundraiser, they can contact the Organiser and ask for an edit or reject the fundraiser.
As soon as the organisation approves your fundraiser, it will appear in the public catalogue and can be shared with others, clearly marked with information about the Fixed Beneficiary below the photo gallery.
Once the funds have been raised, the payout process is very simple – just click the 'Payout' button on the selected fundraiser in the 'My Fundraisers' tab. All funds are transferred directly to the beneficiary organisation and 4fund.com does not charge any fees or commissions on the amount raised. This ensures that every euro you raise goes directly to supporting the cause.
How Organisations Can Become Fixed Beneficiaries
- Sign up using your organisation's email
- Verify as a natural person
- Complete the form by filling the information about your organisation
- Finish the process of registration of your organisation account
- Add a payout account to which the funds raised will be transferred
- Apply as a Fixed Beneficiary
Once you become a Fixed Beneficiary, a button — as shown in the screenshot below — will appear on your profile to allow people to fundraise on your behalf. Your organisation will also be selectable from a list when creating a fundraiser and will appear in the organisation catalogue.
How Your Organisation Receives Funds
All funds raised through a fundraiser on your behalf will be transferred directly to the payout account you've added – even if the fundraising goal hasn't been fully reached. This means that your organisation will receive every donation made, regardless of whether the target has been achieved. It's up to the Organiser to decide when to transfer the funds to your account, but you're always welcome to contact them or our support team if you want to coordinate or discuss the timing.
