My name is Jagna and I'm a 28 years old Polish woman. What complicates things is that I happen to be transgender - something that I finally stopped fighting against and acknowledged back in early 2022. Ever since, my life has been centered around consultations with sexologists, endocrinologists, a lawyer, organizing hormonal treatment, collecting testimonials in order to go to court and change my data, and so on. And work, too, of course, because there is no state trans healthcare in Poland and I do not come from a wealthy background.

I've come a long way and there's one last thing left that I need to address. Unfortunately, it's related to my natal anatomy. It's something that prevents me from feeling at home in my own body, from going to the beach, from having a more normal life. Its impact on my mental health is tremendously negative and as I have other health issues to tend to as well, it's hard for me to imagine another year without getting help.

My experience with planning this surgery has been harrowing so far. I needed to postpone it because of a surgeon's fault and then was informed that the price had been raised by around 3000€. I won't be able to pay for it with all my savings even with my family's help anymore and I live a quite modest life with no outings, holidays and such. I don't feel comfortable setting up this fundraiser but this is what a few friends told me I should do and I don't really have much of a choice anymore.
