Ladislav is a 19-year-old young man who was born with autism, moderate intellectual disability, behavioral challenges, coordination difficulties, and a severe form of ADHD. Until the age of 17, he grew up in a loving family where his parents did everything possible to provide him with the best care. Unfortunately, with the onset of puberty, his episodes of aggression and raptus worsened to the point that he spent most of his time in psychiatric care facilities. However, once he reached adulthood, a unique opportunity arose – his placement in the home for people with disabilities (DOZP) Radost in Merklín near Přeštice, Czech Republic.

This facility offers 24-hour care for adults with autism and intellectual disability, providing not only a safe environment but also a space for socialization and meaningful activities. Here, Ladislav has found a second home and finally receives the stable support he needs.

Ladislav is also a very cheerful young man with a passion for modern technology. He has developed hobbies such as collecting old button phones and using touchscreen devices to listen to music on YouTube almost all day. Unfortunately, his mood swings cause these phones to quickly become disposable items with a lifespan of no more than one month, which adds significant additional expenses.

Why This Campaign?

Although Ladislav’s stay is financed by his disability pension and care allowance, these funds are suspended during his hospitalizations, leaving his parents to cover the costs. In addition, his parents are also responsible for all other expenses – his personal needs, outings, shared moments with the family, and any damages incurred during his raptus episodes. These expenses unfortunately exceed their financial means.

How Can You Help?

Our goal is to raise up to 1500 euros per month for 4-6 months to bridge this challenging period and ensure that Ladislav does not lose access to the care he needs. Your contributions will go towards:

• Covering the costs of his stay at the DOZP
• Providing for his personal needs (clothing, hygiene products, etc.)
• Enabling outings and quality time with his family
• Covering unforeseen expenses related to his health condition
