Hello everyone,

My sweet 2-year-old golden retriever, Mia, has been my sunshine—always cheerful, kind, and full of life. Unfortunately, Mia was recently diagnosed with severe bilateral hip dysplasia and arthritis, conditions that have drastically impacted her quality of life.

It all started when I noticed her limping and struggling to climb stairs. Concerned, I took her to our local vet, who performed an initial X-ray. The results were inconclusive, so we were referred to an orthopaedic specialist in Budapest. After a more thorough examination and X-rays under sedation, the heart-breaking diagnosis was confirmed: Mia has severe hip dysplasia, bilateral hip arthrosis, and a 2x3 mm osteophyte on her right hip joint.

Mia’s condition requires ongoing, specialized care, including:

• Physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions
• Specialist-guided exercises
• Massages and Bemer therapy
• Orthopaedic equipment and supplements
• Pain management treatments

In the future, Mia will also need hip replacement surgery, which is not available in Hungary and can cost upwards of €5,000 or more.

Watching my once-joyful pup become limited by pain is heart-breaking. My goal is to give Mia the best life possible and ensure she is as pain-free and happy as she can be.

This is why I’m reaching out for help. Any contribution—no matter the size—will go directly towards Mia’s treatments, therapies, and the surgery that she will eventually need. Every little bit helps to bring my girl comfort and joy.
