Hello c: I'm raising money for my cat.

Her name is Panni. She used to be a street cat. My dad found her in a pretty bad condition and so we took her in. She was underfed, and suffered from earmites.

What we didn't know is that she was also suffering from a chronic infection, which effects both of her ears, but mainly the left ear.

This infection is the cause of a narrow ear canal and the growth of polyps in her ear which make it even more painful for her.

Her treatment included cleaning her ear daily, antibiotic ear drops and she had to and still must wear a collar, in order to avoid her scratching and further infecting the area.

While these did lead to some improvement, surgery was required. She went under an endoscopic surgery, the polyps were removed and she was given a long lasting (1 month) medicine.

But unfortunately this did not solve the main problem, and the polyps have grown back, the ear canal is slightly bloody, brown discharge is coming out and she's probably still in pain.

Sadly, another surgery is not something we can afford at the moment and this is why I'm asking for your help.

There are two options:

1, Removing the ear canal which would solve the problem permanently. However this entails losing a certain percentage of her hearing, but overall it wouldn't bother her too much according to the vet.

This would cost 636€

2, Laser surgery, where they remove the polyps and then use laser so that they can't grow back, which would give her another chance for permanent recovery.

It would help her immune system and so the infection might actually go away, but obviously there's a possibility that this doesn't work either.

The cost of this is 764€

But I believe there are so many people and animals out there who are currently in life or death situations and in need of money so much more than we are.

Which is why I would like to ask for just a small - but still very much significant- amount of help, which could be reached by 500 people willing to donate 1€
