Hi!

My name is Matúš, I am 20 years old and I am very interested in watches.

I have gained access to various old watches that are mostly non-functional, damaged or missing some components. I invested about €300 in small tools and spare parts for the watch, but I still need to invest in other tools - the most needed is some CNC machine for milling or engraving.

In the cover photo you can see my initial work. The old brass watch case was dirty and scratched. I was able to sand it to a nice shiny state with my tools and chemically silver it. Even so, it still shows imperfections and I will have to sand it down and silver it again :))

The most complicated part of a watch is making a dial. A small plate is required for production, which must be precisely cut and ground. The grinding of such a dial must be absolutely precise so that no scratches or unevenness are visible.

A small CNC machine would be very suitable for this job. If you have more experience with these tools, I will be grateful for them.

For any help, I will be able to repay with a watch donation in the future. (custom made of course :) )
