Aprašymas
Mieli draugai, kolegos ir bendraminčiai,
VDA Fotografijos, animacijos ir medijų meno (FAMM) katedros vardu kreipiamės į jus prašydami susitelkimo ir paramos mūsų kolegai, dėstytojui bei tyrėjui dr. Jan Glöckner.
Janas yra aktyvus mūsų akademinės bendruomenės narys. Nepaisant pernai jam diagnozuotos ŠAS (šoninės amiotrofinės sklerozės / ALS), jis praėjusiais metais sėkmingai apsigynė daktaro laipsnį, toliau dėsto, užsiima moksline bei kūrybine veikla ir kuria naujus projektus.
ŠAS yra greitai progresuojanti neurologinė liga, pažeidžianti raumenų funkciją. Pastaruoju metu ligos eiga itin sparčiai apribojo Jano galimybes judėti – jis nebevaikšto ir nebegali valdyti daugumos raumenų. Nepaisant sustingusio kūno Janas toliau dirba, dėsto, kuria ir nori išlikti aktyviu bendruomenės nariu.
Šiuo metu Janui skubiai reikalingas specializuotas elektrinis neįgaliojo vežimėlis, pritaikytas jo fizinei būklei ir valdomas išlikusiu piršto judesiu. Ši įranga leistų jam sėdėti be skausmo, judėti, suteiktų jam reikalingą nepriklausomybę ir orumą kasdienybėje.
Bendra šio vežimėlio kaina siekia 13 500 eurų. Valstybinės kompensavimo sistemos tvarka užtrunka pernelyg ilgai ir neatitinka sparčios ligos eigos, tad susitelkiame, kad reikalinga pagalba Janą pasiektų laiku. Be to, kasdien jam reikalinga intensyvi slauga, o kompensuojama tik dalis išlaidų.
Kiekvienas indėlis – tai reali pagalba, leidžianti Janui išsaugoti judėjimo laisvę ir buvimą kartu su mumis.
Nuoširdžiai dėkojame už jūsų solidarumą ir palaikymą.

Dear friends, colleagues, and supporters,
On behalf of the Department of Photography, Animation and Media Art (FAMM) at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VDA), we are reaching out to ask for your support for our colleague, lecturer, and researcher Dr. Jan Glockner.
Jan is an active member of our community. Despite being diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) last year, he successfully defended his PhD, continues to teach, engages in research and creative work, and develops new projects.
ALS is a rapidly progressing neurological condition affecting muscle function. Recently, the illness has severely restricted Jan’s mobility - he can no longer walk and has lost control of most of his muscles. Despite these physical limitations, Jan continues to work, teach, create, and remain an active part of our community.
Jan urgently needs a specialized electric wheelchair adapted to his physical condition, controlled by the remaining function of a finger. This equipment would allow him to sit without pain, move around, and maintain independence and dignity in his daily life.
The total cost of the wheelchair is 13,500€. Public compensation procedures take far too long and cannot keep up with the fast pace of the disease, which is why we are coming together to provide this support. Additionally, Jan requires intensive daily care, only a fraction of which is covered by state compensation.
Every contribution makes a real difference, helping Jan stay mobile, independent, and connected with us.
Thank you sincerely for your solidarity and support.
