Malena Nikol Dragičević is a seven-year-old from Split who suffers from spastic cerebral palsy. A cheerful little girl who dreams that one day she will be able to walk and run like her friend Jela. Her battle for health has been going on since birth, and single mother Lara has made literally everything possible for her pet. The only thing that remained unattainable was tendon surgery on the arms and legs. At the beginning of June, Nikol received an appointment for an operation at the Special Surgical Hospital "Medikus" in Ćuprija, Serbia, but her mother does not need four thousand euros for the procedure, which, as she told us, the hospital gives Nikol a chance to stand on her own two feet. She didn't ask for help, but her neighbors and educators of the "Mali Dupin" Kindergarten, a rehabilitation habilitation kindergarten for children with developmental disabilities, saw and felt what they were going through and decided to turn heaven and earth to help them. – Our Niki is a little Bistrić, as we call him from time to time.
