My name is Dinko Žigić. I am thirty-nine years old, and I live in Croatia, Europe. Writing this letter is not easy for me... but I am doing so with humility, honesty, and hope. I am reaching out because my family and I are in a very difficult life situation, and we no longer know where else to turn. My fiancée is thirty-eight years old and lives in the Philippines. She is a loving mother of three children, aged eighteen, sixteen, and twelve. Sadly, their life is marked by poverty. There are days when even food is uncertain, and every single day is a struggle just to meet the most basic human needs. Neither she nor I own a home. We are trying to build a future together... to get married and live a dignified life, but our financial reality makes even the simplest dreams feel unreachable. Despite my constant efforts to find work here in Croatia, I have not yet been able to secure stable employment. I am willing to work, to learn, and to do whatever it takes — I simply need a chance. I am not writing to you for luxury or comfort. I am writing because we are trying to survive, and to give three children a chance at a better life. Your kindness and generosity have already changed so many lives, and I hope, with all my heart, that you might consider ours as well. Any form of help — financial support, guidance, or opportunity — would mean more to us than words can express. We would be grateful beyond measure, and carry that gratitude with us for the rest of our lives. Thank you for taking the time to read our story. No matter the outcome, your compassion gives people like us hope that kindness still exists in this world. With sincere respect... and hope, Dinko Žigić
