We are a small family run animal rescue foundation called the Inter Pares Foundation. Inter Pares means Among Equals. We believe all sentient beings should have equal rights to a decent, crueltyfree and painfree life in dignity and respect. We currently take care of over 70 animals, who live in our forest sanctuary: dogs, cats, horses, ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens and ducks.
We take in all animals in need but mainly local stray dogs and cats, rescued old and sick dogs from horrible shelters, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats and cows from slaughterhouses.
Once the animals we rescue are settled and safe we train some of them to work with us in animal assisted therapy sessions for disabled children.
Recently we have had a very rought time financially with many animals being sick and many more than we can provide for dumped by our gates. As a result we have gone into huge debt and are struggling to survive. We need help in every possible way and this fundraiser is our last resort.
Please help us get back on our feet so that we can continue helping animals in need.
