My name is Michelle, mommy of Sterling. I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. I am a single mother from Canada residing in Portugal, and I am desperately seeking help for my 6-year-old son, who is currently facing a medical emergency.

Recently, my son's health took a turn for the worse, and after numerous doctor visits here in Portugal, it became evident that he needed specialized care that simply wasn't available locally. We were advised that he urgently requires an endoscopy and colonoscopy, procedures crucial to diagnosing and treating his condition effectively.

Unfortunately, the medical care he needs is not available within Portugal, and we had to travel to Spain to find the right doctors and facilities for his treatment. As a single mother, this journey back and forth has been overwhelming both emotionally and financially. With no coverage for medical expenses outside of Portugal, I have had to bear the burden of all costs associated with my son's care.

So far, we have already spent €2900 on travel expenses and preliminary doctor appointments. However, this is just the beginning. The cost of the procedures, further tests, medications, and ongoing care are looming ahead, and I am struggling to make ends meet.
