The purposes of the Association are: The support and promotion of the work of the Volunteer Firefighters and the Andros Fire Department. The creation and implementation of humanitarian action programs, events for the promotion and promotion of culture, the development of a spirit of solidarity and in general action governed by philanthropic feelings, as well as any other activity related to the safety and protection of life and property of citizens and the State, the natural environment and, in particular, the forest wealth of the Country from risks of natural and technological disasters and other threats. The promotion of the spirit of volunteerism and the organization of working groups in order to provide every possible offer, within the context of the purposes of the Association. The awareness of the citizens regarding what concerns the promotion of volunteerism. The creation of relationships of fruitful communication and solidarity with the Authorities, other Associations, or organizations that promote issues to achieve the goals of the Association. The basic principles of the Association are: 1. Independence from political, governmental and trade union bodies. 2. Democracy in his expressed positions, objectivity and pluralism in his opinions and proposals. 3. Friendly cooperation with private and public agencies, national, foreign and international, to support and strengthen the work of the Volunteer Firefighters and the Andros Fire Department.
