Hello, and welcome to RitoLingo.

My name is Marianna. I am Hungarian and have made Ireland my home. Languages have been an important part of my life for many years, both personally and professionally, and RitoLingo grew from my love of languages and my belief that learning them should be understandable, practical and enjoyable.

RitoLingo is a language-learning project I am building independently.

My goal is simple: to create courses that don't just ask learners to memorize words and phrases, but help them understand how a language works and gradually gain the confidence to use it.

RitoLingo lessons combine clear explanations, real conversations, listening and speaking practice, writing activities, interactive exercises, progress tracking and certificates of completion. I put a great deal of care into the courses because I want learners to feel that every lesson gives them something valuable—not that they are simply clicking through exercises.

The platform is already being built. This fundraiser is about helping me take it further and launch RitoLingo as a growing language academy.

I am currently without regular employment, so I am developing RitoLingo independently with very limited resources. Rather than putting this project aside, I want to use my experience and my love of languages to build something that can genuinely help learners.

In the future, I would also like to develop RitoLingo as an app that can work both online and offline.

Internet access, private language lessons and language schools can be expensive or simply unavailable to many people. I would like RitoLingo to become a learning resource that people can use wherever they are—including, eventually, when they do not have continuous internet access.

For students, learning another language can provide valuable knowledge that supports their education, future studies and opportunities.

For adults, a language can open doors to employment, travel, communication, integration into a new community, or simply the enjoyment and confidence that comes from learning something new.

I want RitoLingo to serve both: a student taking their first steps in another language and an adult who may be returning to learning many years after leaving school.

Good language education should not belong only to people who can afford expensive courses.

That is one of the reasons I want to keep developing RitoLingo.

Contributions will help with the costs of developing and running RitoLingo, improving the learning platform, creating and reviewing courses, maintaining the technical infrastructure, and continuing to add languages and learning content.

As the project grows, support can also help me work towards the larger goal of developing the RitoLingo mobile app and offline learning experience.

My monthly goal is €1,000.

Every contribution, large or small, gives me more time and resources to continue developing RitoLingo and move it towards a sustainable public launch.

I want supporters to be able to see what they are helping to build. The video on this page demonstrates RitoLingo in action, so you can explore the learning experience rather than supporting an idea that exists only on paper.
