My mother, who is 57 years old, had brain surgery in 2006 (she was 40 years old at that time). After that she started to feel weaker. After many visits to doctors she got diagnosed with MS ( Sclerosis Multiplex) in 2008. From that time she started to lose her balance and strength. In 2012 she could move only by wheelchair and in 2013 she lost her job because of that. After losing her job she got emotionally damaged and everything got worse so much faster. From the end of 2013 she came completly bedsick and could not move her hand or legs. I was 13 at that time and I was nursing my mother at home until 2018 when we found finance for nursinghome. Last year in 2022, when she had her annual visit to hospital, doctor found out that there is no MS anymore and diagnose got cancelled. Apparently she got trauma from her brain surgery. Doctor told that, as everything has recovered she can be back on her legs, but need a lot of physiotherapy. As she is only 57 years old, she can’t handle nursinghome situation as there is no help for her at all. She will be able to walk again, when she gets physiotherapy. But it is really expensive.
