Descripción

I never thought I would find myself writing something like this, and honestly, I feel incredibly ashamed even putting these words out there.

But right now, I have exactly €0.38 left in my bank account, and I don’t know how to get through this situation on my own.

It started when I damaged my mom’s car.

I didn’t have enough money to pay for the repairs, and I panicked. I felt horrible knowing that I had caused a problem I simply couldn’t afford to fix.

And instead of admitting that I didn’t have the money, I made an even worse decision.

I went to a casino.

I know how that sounds. Looking back at it now, I wish more than anything that I had just accepted the original problem and dealt with the consequences.

But at that moment, I convinced myself that if I could just turn the money I had into a little more, I could pay for the damage, fix my mistake and move on.

Instead, I started losing.

And when I lost, I didn’t stop.

I kept thinking that maybe the next attempt would win some of it back. Then I could leave, pay for the car, and everything would somehow be okay.

It wasn’t.

Trying to fix one financial problem, I created a much bigger one.

I lost my savings, the money I needed for my tuition, and the money I had set aside for my accommodation and living expenses while studying.

Today, I have €0.38 left.

I’m not writing this to pretend that I’m a victim or that none of this was my responsibility. Nobody forced me to gamble. I made that decision, and I have to live with the fact that it was a terrible one.

I wish I could go back and change it, but I can’t.

All I can do now is be honest about what happened, take responsibility for it, and try to rebuild.

I am trying to raise €2,000 in total:

€1,000 for my tuition

€400 for my accommodation

€600 for basic living expenses until the end of next month.

I am NOT asking for money to gamble again or to try to win back what I lost. I have learned, in a very painful way, where that thinking leads.

I just want to make sure that one terrible series of decisions doesn’t cost me my education and the place where I live while studying.

I completely understand if someone reads this and thinks, “You did this to yourself.”

I did.

And admitting that publicly is incredibly difficult.

I’m not asking anyone to tell me that what I did was okay, because it wasn’t. I’m asking for a chance to get through the consequences, continue my studies, and rebuild what I lost in a responsible way.

If you can spare €1, €5, €10, or anything at all, I would be more grateful than I can put into words.

And if you aren’t able to donate, I completely understand. Even sharing this fundraiser could help it reach someone who might be able to.

My goal is €2,000.

Right now, I’m starting with €0.38.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. ❤️
