Descripción

We provide a comprehensive package including hiking descriptions, interactive map, coordinates, tips, and much more.


The Pefki Gorge is located above the holiday village of Makrygialos in the southeast of the island of Crete. The hike begins just outside the village of Pefki and takes us along small paths to the entrance of the gorge. From there, we traverse a varied landscape, initially on narrow trails and later through the gorge itself. With a bit of luck, the small stream may have water, creating small waterfalls and pools at certain points. Later, we return to the starting point above the gorge. There is also an option to walk back from the end of the gorge to the village of Makrygialos.

 

The hike is not always possible due to meteorological conditions (water level)!

The Pefki Gorge is located above the holiday village of Makrygialos in the southeast of the island of Crete. The hike begins just outside the village of Pefki and takes us along small paths to the entrance of the gorge. From there, we traverse a varied landscape, initially on narrow trails and later through the gorge itself. With a bit of luck, the small stream may have water, creating small waterfalls and pools at certain points. Later, we return to the starting point above the gorge. There is also an option to walk back from the end of the gorge to the village of Makrygialos.

 

The hike is not always possible due to meteorological conditions (water level)!
