Rita Rhithrogena - den strømfødte døgnflue, skal være en billedfagbog om den sjældne døgnflue, som har sidst sidste danske levested i Højen Bæk, syd for Vejle.

Døgnfluen har den sejeste nymfe, den er megahurtig og god til at holde sig fast på sten i det strømmende vand.

Billedfagbogen er skrevet i et børnevenligt sprog og der er fakta bokse, så naturglade mennesker lærer noget om døgnfluen.

Pengene skal gå til at kunne betale illustratoren og trykkeriet.

Mit mål er at flere får øjnene op for dette spændende insekt og dens fantastiske levested i Højen Bæk.

Rita Rhithrogena - The March Brown Mayfly, will become a picture book about this rare mayfly and it's last Danish habitat in Højen Bæk south of Vejle.

Rhithrogena germanica, it's Latin name, has the coolest nymph. It is super fast and really good at clinging to rocks in the flowing water.

The book is written in a child-friendly language, and there are fact boxes for the adult reader, so nature lovers can learn something about the mayfly, regardless you are 5 or 95 years old.

The money will be used to pay the illustrator and printer.

My goal is for more people to become aware of this exciting insect and its extraordinary habitat in Højen Bæk.

Højen Bæk is a Nature 2000 area, which biologists call a biodiversity hotspot.
