Help Me Make My American Exchange Year Dream Come True 🇺🇸

Hi! My name is Stefania, I’m a high school student from Romania, and I’m asking for your help to make one of my biggest dreams come true: spending an entire school year in the United States as an exchange student.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the United States. I’ve dreamed about walking through the halls of an American high school, sitting in a classroom with students from a completely different environment, joining school activities, experiencing American traditions, and, most importantly, becoming part of a community far away from home.

For me, an exchange year is not simply about visiting another country.

It is about living there, learning there, growing there, and becoming a stronger and more independent person.

I want to challenge myself to step outside everything familiar and discover what I am capable of. I want to improve my English, experience a different education system, make friends from different backgrounds, learn about another culture, and create memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I know that opportunities like this can change a young person’s life. They can teach you things that cannot be learned from a textbook — independence, adaptability, confidence, understanding, and the courage to start again when things don’t go according to plan.

Unfortunately, an exchange year is a significant financial commitment, and the total cost is more than my family can comfortably cover on our own.

That is why I decided to ask for help.

My goal is to raise €15,000 toward the costs of my exchange year, including the program, travel, insurance, visa-related expenses, and other necessary costs. I am not expecting others to make this dream happen for me — I am doing everything I can to contribute myself through saving, fundraising, and personal projects.

Every donation, no matter how small, would bring me one step closer to the opportunity I have dreamed about.
