  My name is Tereza Jirková, I am a trained social worker, and I am reaching out to you with a humble request for help.

  Humanity and compassion are values that are close to my heart. The situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating every day. Due to the ban on humanitarian aid, people have been denied access to basic necessities. Drinking water is unavailable, and food prices are astronomically high. Today, almost everyone faces the risk of starvation and lives in inhumane conditions. That is why I have decided to organize a fundraiser for Jamila. I believe that thanks to human solidarity, we will be able to contribute to a slightly more dignified life for her and her family.

Her name is Jamila Said (29), and she is a trained pharmacist. Today, she is fighting for survival in the northern Gaza Strip.

Jamila writes:  

  "I don't have a job. The occupation has destroyed our dreams, our ambitions, and our future. I cannot provide medical care for my parents. We don't have drinking water. We suffer from diseases associated with malnutrition due to high food prices, and we also suffer from skin infections. This is due to insects and diseases related to living in tents for many months...

  Before the war, my mother worked as a teacher. However, she suffered an injury to her right eye when the Israeli army bombed her house. She lost her sight in her right eye, and there is no money for treatment abroad. She has a chance of regaining her sight if enough money can be raised for treatment. She suffers from malnutrition, and the available water is neither clean nor drinkable. My father had thyroid cancer and underwent gallbladder surgery. He was captured by the occupiers at the beginning of the war. After his release, he suffered a chest injury. He received no treatment for this injury, and his condition deteriorated significantly.

In Gaza is an artificially induced famine. My brother was trying to find food for the kids. There were cans scattered on the ground, and when he picked one up, it turned out there was explosives inside. The can exploded, causing my brother to lose his fingers, and now he's facing amputation of his hand. We urgently need to raise money for the operation.

The harsh reality of war and displacement has forced Jamila to live in a large tent, which she shares with her extended family—a total of 12 people, including three small children.

Lidskost a humanita jsou hodnoty, které jsou mi blízké. Situace v pásmu Gazy se každým dnem zhoršuje.

Lidem byl z důvodu zákazu přístupu humanitární pomoci odepřen přístup k základním potřebám.

Nedostupná je pitná voda, ceny potravin jsou astronomicky vysoké.

Dnes již všichni čelí riziku hladomoru a žijí v nelidských podmínkách.

Proto jsem se rozhodla, že povedu finanční sbírku Jamily.

Věřím, že díky lidské solidaritě se nám podaří přispět k alespoň o trochu důstojnějšímu životu pro Jamilu a její rodinu.

To kvůli hmyzu a onemocněním, souvisejícím s mnoha měsíčním bydlením ve stanu....

Moje maminka před válkou pracovala jako učitelka. Utrpěla však zranění pravého oka, když Izraelská armáda bombardovala její dům. Ztratila tak na pravém oku zrak a na léčbu jejího zranění v zahraničí nejsou peníze.

Má šanci, že se jí zrak může vrátit, pokud se sežene dostatek peněz na léčbu. Trpí podvýživou a dostupná voda není čistá ani pitná.

Můj otec měl rakovinu štítné žlázy a operovaný žlučník.

Okupanti ho zajali na počátku války. Po propuštěni utrpěl zranění hrudního koše.

Neměl žádnou léčbu toho zranění a jeho stav se výrazně zhoršil.

V Gaze je uměle vyvolaný hladomor. Můj bratr se snažil najít jídlo pro děti. Na zemi byly rozházené plechovky, a když jednu z nich zvedl, ukázalo se, že uvnitř byla ukryta trhavina. Plechovka explodovala, což způsobilo, že můj bratr přišel o prsty a nyní mu hrozí amputace ruky. Naléhavě potřebujeme sehnat peníze na operaci.

Drsná realita války a vysídlení přinutila Jamilu žít ve velkém stanu, který sdílí se svojí širší rodinou - celkem 12 osob, včetně tří malých dětí.
