We are making a heartfelt plea for your help…

Dear Kind-hearted People,

We are asking you from the bottom of our hearts for support in the very difficult situation our family finds itself in. We live in a house that is not only a shelter for us, but also a place full of memories and moments we have shared together. We are now facing a huge challenge that we are struggling to overcome, but we need help to give ourselves a chance to continue living here.

My husband, my daughter and I live in the house – we are all struggling with serious health problems that make our daily lives very difficult.

I have been dealing with serious health issues for several years; I have had two operations for varicose veins and am struggling with high blood pressure and arrhythmia. On top of that, I look after my sick mother, who is battling Alzheimer’s. Caring for her every day takes a lot of strength, which is becoming increasingly difficult to muster.

My daughter, when she was a child, suffered from acute myeloid leukaemia. Fortunately, the disease went into remission, but her body remained weakened. Despite having completed a pastry-making course, my daughter is unable to take up employment because her health deteriorates suddenly and her test results have dropped significantly.

My husband is retiring this year, but for several months he has been struggling with serious health problems following an accident that has made his daily life very difficult. Recently, on his way back from my sister’s house, he was brutally attacked by three thugs, which has made our difficult situation even worse.

We live in a detached house in Dębe-Kolonia, near Kalisz – a house that is my husband’s family home. It is here that we have spent most of our lives, raising our daughter and enjoying moments together. Unfortunately, our financial situation is dire. The plot of land on which we live was mortgaged by my husband’s brother, and we were unaware of this. As a result of this debt, our house has been valued at 120,000 zlotys. The property was due to be auctioned off, but no buyer came forward during the auction.

Although we have not yet been officially provided with the details of the new valuation, it is rumoured that the amount may be higher. This gives us even less hope of resolving this difficult situation.

We have done everything in our power to prevent the sale of the house, but unfortunately we have found no way to settle the debt. We cannot bear the thought that we will have to leave this place, which is full of memories and, for our daughter, is the only home she remembers.

That is why we are making a heartfelt plea to you – people of good heart – for help. Every donation, no matter how small, will be a huge help to us, enabling us to continue living in this house, which means everything to us. Your help is our only chance to avoid having to part with our memories and the home we love so dearly.
