Meet Sansa, a gentle, loving and extremely patient soul. She is a little dog of just 2 years old who shows her affection to everyone around her and who, although she cannot speak, understands us with just a glance. 

Unfortunately, what she feels most often now is pain. Sansa suffers from hip dysplasia in both hind legs, and every step is becoming increasingly difficult for her.

She loves to run, swim and play with a ball, but all these things have been forbidden to her. The vets have told us that any kind of movement could tear her ligaments at any moment, which could completely rob her of her mobility. And yet, however much we try to restrict her, it is very difficult for us, because she doesn’t understand why she can no longer do what she loves. She wants to exercise, play with her friends and lead an active life. 

Despite all this, Sansa endures and accepts her situation. Although she doesn’t like them, she takes her supplements every day, as if she understands that it is the only way she can still move her hind legs. But we know this isn’t a long-term solution. Her only chance is an expensive operation, without which she may soon be unable to walk at all.

This is the story that motivated us to set up the ‘Sansa and Friends’ Association. Not just for her, but for other dogs and cats in need of life-saving treatment and surgery. We want to help abandoned animals, raise awareness about the importance of neutering and responsible pet care, and support as many cases as possible that, without help, would have no hope.
