I have launched this fundraising campaign because I have reached a point in the renovation of our family home where my own strength and savings are no longer sufficient to continue. Anyone who knows me knows that making our home beautiful is my dream, but I am now facing two critical tasks that cannot wait any longer: the complete replacement of the roof and the completion of the extension we have started.

Why is this necessary?

Unfortunately, the current roof is leaking in several places and the structure has deteriorated, which also jeopardises the work we have done so far. In addition, we have already started the extension of the house, but the walls still need to be finished and insulated so that the children can have their own rooms and the new part of the house can be ready to move into.

What will I use your donations for?

I am not raising funds for a luxury project, but for the foundations of a safe and liveable home. I will use the target amount for the following:

• Roofing materials: [beams, tiles, underlay]
• ​Cost of skilled labour: [carpentry and metalwork]
• Completion of the extension: [doors and windows, insulation, brickwork]

Every penny counts!

I know everyone has their own struggles, so even the cost of a single ‘virtual roof tile’ (a few thousand forints) is a huge help to me. If you can’t support me financially, sharing this post goes a long way towards spreading the word to those who can help.
