Purpose of the project

The aim of the research is to

analyse all key biblical passages relating to the ministry, leadership and priesthood of women,

to examine early Christian sources and testimonies,

systematically present the arguments for and against,

establish an academic dialogue within the broader theological community,

to produce a professionally grounded monograph.

The question is not whether the topic is sensitive.

The question is whether we are prepared to explore it with intellectual honesty.

Why is this research necessary?

Throughout the history of the Church, many questions have only been clarified through in-depth study and dialogue. Theology is not a static discipline, but a living reflection of faith.

If we believe that God is calling, then as theologians we must explore:

whether the understanding of vocation is limited by historical circumstances,

whether the prohibition is the result of theological argument or cultural context,

how we understand the sacrament of Holy Orders in light of Christ's incarnation.

Academic responsibility requires that we ask these questions seriously and without fear.

What will the project involve?

in-depth biblical analysis (Old and New Testaments),

a review of patristic sources,

analysis of Church documents,

a comparative study of different Christian traditions,

public lectures and expert discussions,

preparation of a scientific publication.

The project is designed as a long-term research initiative, the result of which will be a professional work intended for both theologians and the wider interested public.
