Description

Hello everyone,

I think everyone goes through life thinking that it won't happen to them. The shock when I found out that I had CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukaemia) in 2016 and polyneuropathy in 2017 was devastating at the time. I was very active and thought I was pretty healthy.

I won't go into detail about what I went through with my illness, as everyone reacts differently, so what happened to me may not be the same for someone else.

I always have a very positive attitude.

That's the most important part of my journey. I couldn't have done it without the help of my wonderful family – my husband Frank and my sons Frank Wene & David, who take absolutely wonderful care of me and encourage me. I love them very much and thank God for the blessing of this loving family.

Now back to 2016. I was told that it would not affect me much for about ten (10) years, so I put the information on hold and forgot all about it, leading a very active lifestyle until 2018.

2019 was a bad year, with extensive chemotherapy being used to control the CLL. Overall, I coped very well with the chemotherapy, but I did have some side effects to deal with. I drastically changed my diet, cutting out fat, minimising dairy products, eliminating sugar and eating lots of fruit and vegetables. I also ate only hormone-free meat and fish two to three times a week. I supplemented my diet with folic acid, vitamin E, Adalese, lysine, vitamin C powder mixed with orange juice, wheatgrass, barley grass and B12 injections every two weeks.

In mid-2019, I started a new method of treatment, which was a natural treatment (the costs are not covered by health insurance) administered by my GP. This method helped me a lot and my CLL was completely fine, so I thought I had been cured.

Unfortunately, that was not the case and the cancer returned in 2024. Since then, I have continued to battle with cancer, with little strength and feeling very tired.

For financial reasons, I cannot afford the method I would like to use again, as 2024 was a year of horror.

My husband was very ill himself and was sick for over 11 months. I continued to work full-time with little strength and persevered as best I could.

Unfortunately, however, I am getting worse from month to month, and for this reason I am asking for help for myself and my family so that I can start my therapy again and we can see a little light again from the deep hole we are in.

Thank you very much for any support.
