Hello, I am Ákos, a chef and professional musician. In November 2023, I was diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer in Manhattan, with possible two metastases in my liver and lungs. I was successfully treated at Bellevue Hospital and the rectal tumor was removed 7 months later. 9 chemo 5 radiation therapy. Success! Then liver surgery in July 2024. I returned home to Budapest in December 2024 because I could no longer finance my treatment and stay in New York. I have had no income for a year and a half, my money is gone, and I need additional treatments, such as immunotherapy, to help me get stronger to continue chemotherapy. I have currently lost 30 kilos to 51 kilos. In January 2025, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in Budapest, and again in my liver and lungs. I would like to finish the book I started abroad, which is about my illness with some humor and self-irony. I would also like to finally return to my old life as a musician and cook!
