my mom has been ill her whole life shes missing one kidney and always had to work from home. Recently she became overcome with severe depression to the point where she wishes she didnt wake up in the morning and cant work at all. She has three children the youngest of 15 years is still living with her, im the middle child and im 23 finishing college living 25mins away by car, eldest is 32 but she lives in a different country. My mom has bought and keeps renovating a house of which she has one room for herself thats also a kitchen and my younger sister would have the attic room above. They used to live with mom's boyfriend but they broke up and the only place they can go is that house which is in dire need of renovation. Theres no warm water in the kitchen, no kitchen cabinets, bathroom ceiling is damaged and attic room needs flooring and insulation also paint since the previous tenant used the fireplace wrong and one wall is fully black from soot, the rooms are cold even when the heating is on so there must be some leak. There isnt water its more like a cottage so someone needs to bring water and wood for heating once in a while. She barerly gets up from bed and is currently staying with me at my boyfriends appartment. We gave her our bed and we sleep on couch. I think if her house wasnt such a disaster she could recover quicker but i dont work yet and she now cant either. Im finishing my bachelors this June so i can start job hunting then but now its important that i finish my bachelors or she will forever feel guilty that i didnt make it because of her. She already has some antidepresants but also has other medication and some of it even causes depression. I hope she can get better soon.
