A Polish woman from Tarnów, living in Milan for 20 years. Her husband is an Italian police officer who was injured in the line of duty. Together, we have rescued 23 herding dogs. Now the roof of our home-shelter is collapsing. We have just 5 days to raise 10,000 PLN, otherwise 6 dogs and 3 cats will lose their only safe haven.

🚨 5 DAYS UNTIL 1 OCTOBER – URGENT ROOF REPAIR🚨
Rain is pouring through the holes straight onto our bed. If we don’t raise 10,000 PLN, the engineers have confirmed – the roof will collapse.
👩 I’m Kasia – a psychologist, former English teacher, and a cancer survivor.
👮♂️ My husband is an Italian police officer who suffered a serious spinal injury at work.
🐾 For the past three years, we’ve been rescuing abandoned herding dogs (Great Pyrenees, Maremma). We’ve rescued 23, and nine have stayed with us – their only family.
- Roof repairs (urgent): 10,000 PLN (the contractor requires payment in advance)

- Remaining: 9,100 PLN
Charlie, Lucy, Linus, Thunder, June and Elodie – sheepdogs who have endured hunger, beatings and abandonment. I bottle-fed the puppies and nursed the blind and injured ones back to health. Asia, Whimzee and Penny – three kittens rescued from the streets. Now they all depend on this roof holding out.

Because I know that the Polish community has always helped one another. This isn’t laziness – it’s a perfect storm: illness, my husband’s injury, medical debt of 230,000 zł. We’ll be paying off this debt for years. But 10,000 PLN right now will decide whether 9 animals keep a roof over their heads.
