Unfortunately, I’ve missed out on all the benefits the state has to offer – I’m 43, single, and a woman to boot; I don’t have any children and, since my womb was removed, I can’t have any either – I can’t get a big enough loan from the bank to buy my own home, so I live in rented accommodation, so I thought maybe this way I could achieve my biggest dream of owning my own home. :)

It’s not my choice that I represent that section of society that just works and pays taxes, yet in return has no opportunities whatsoever, and yes, I know how pathetic that sounds, but if nothing else, it’s good experience :)

And if I succeed, we’ll have a housewarming party and I’ll chip in to help someone else save for a flat too ;)

I’m not alone in this situation, and I know that people don’t donate to those in a worse position than me, to animals, or to more important causes, but if I don’t even try, I can’t say that I’ve done everything I possibly could for myself.

I’m sure I’ll get a mixed reaction to this, as the ‘wise’ János Lázár once said, ‘He who has nothing is worth just that much.’ But János Lázár didn’t go through the 2008 economic crisis, losing the flat he’d bought on a mortgage, whilst managing to save up for a castle; unfortunately, I wouldn’t have had the nerve to do what he did :)

If you can’t write something nice, please be so kind as not to write anything at all!

Of course, if we don’t manage to raise the target amount by the deadline, I’ll send everyone back what they’ve given, because for me it’s not about the fundraising, but about having a home of my own.

It is not my own choice that I am the representative of that segment of society that only works and pays taxes, and in return has no opportunity for anything, and yes, I know how pathetic this seems, but if not for others, then it is good for gaining experience :)
