Beskrivelse
Ellie — or Little My, as I often call her — was one of six puppies I discovered earlier this year.
When I first met the family, the puppies were still with their mum, Lizzy. Soon after, one of the puppies went missing, and we were informed that the puppy had been run over.
A few days later, when I went back to bring them food, I found two puppies — Eddie and Ellie — separated from the rest of the family.
At the time, I didn't know what had happened.
Both puppies were taken to the vet. Sadly, Eddie had suffered severe injuries and did not survive. Ellie was able to come back, and in the meantime I managed to find the rest of her family.
A few days later, it became clear that Ellie had actually been rejected by her mum.
She was very small and wasn't getting enough food. She was weak, dehydrated, anaemic and had an infection.
So I made the decision to permanently remove Ellie from the location and bring her into my care.
And this tiny girl surprised me.
With proper food, treatment, rest and care, she recovered incredibly quickly. ❤️
Today, Little My is a completely different puppy.
She is tiny, but she has a very big personality. 😂 She loves playing, jumping around, exploring the garden and trying to play with dogs much bigger than she is.
She also loves people and cuddles and is becoming more confident every day.
Sadly, the story of her family did not have a happy ending for everyone.
The puppies who remained with their mum later became seriously ill with parvovirus. Only Millie and Zoe survived.
Ellie was lucky to be away from the location by then.
Today she is healthy, vaccinated, microchipped, has her EU passport and is looking for her forever family. ❤️
But until that family comes along, she still needs food, parasite treatment, veterinary care and all the everyday expenses that come with looking after a growing puppy.
I am starting Ellie's sponsorship for the time she remains in my care.
You don't have to adopt her.
Our monthly target is €100, but you can contribute any amount you feel comfortable with — even €5 a month can help.
You can simply become one of the people helping to look after Ellie while she waits for her forever home.
Several people can sponsor Ellie at the same time, so she can have her own little team of supporters behind her. ❤️
Your monthly sponsorship helps me cover her food, parasite treatments, vaccinations, veterinary care and other costs while she is with me.
And when Ellie finally finds her family, her sponsorship will come to an end.
Until then, she is still my responsibility.
And this tiny girl with the huge personality deserves to have people cheering for her along the way. 🐾❤️
Will you become one of Ellie's sponsors?
