Please help me see this seven-year-long legal battle through to the end

For seven years now, I have been involved in an extremely gruelling family law case, during which I have been fighting with all my might to prevent my daughter from being forced to live with a biological father with whom we have never lived together, with whom we have never formed a family, nor have we ever been in a relationship. Having a child was a conscious decision, not the consequence of a broken family relationship.

During this time, there have been countless hearings, expert assessments, official proceedings and legal work. The process has placed an enormous burden on me, not only emotionally but also financially.

Over the past seven years, I have had to spend several million forints on legal proceedings – money that I had originally set aside for my daughter’s future. I did all this because I felt there was nothing more important than doing everything in my power for her.

The first-instance proceedings have concluded, but the case is not yet over. We have exhausted all avenues of legal redress in Hungary, so I must now take the next step in an international forum. This entails further significant legal and procedural costs, which I am finding increasingly difficult to cover on my own.

I never thought I would have to ask for help one day. I have always tried to stand on my own two feet, but after seven years I have reached the point where every bit of support counts.

I will use the donations raised exclusively to cover costs related to the legal proceedings: lawyers’ fees, expert fees, court fees and the costs of further proceedings.
