My life and that of my beloved wife has recently turned upside down. Some time ago we were travelling together in our car as usual - me behind the wheel and my wife in the passenger seat.
At one point, the driver behind us unexpectedly hit our car with such force that the car was pushed off, colliding with the car in front. Unfortunately, although the accident was not my fault, our car was completely destroyed and we do not have the means to buy a new one.
The whole situation is complicated by my wife's health condition. She has suffered from infantile cerebral palsy with tetraparesis since birth and moves around in a wheelchair. Despite her disability, she is extremely active and dedicated to her volunteer work at the cancer foundation.
We need a new reliable, safe car that is adapted to the wife's needs and that will enable her to move around freely for both her personal and volunteer activities.
Unfortunately, this is not the end of the story. In addition to the car, the accident also damaged a wheelchair, an anti-decubitus cushion and a stair climber, which we used to get up and down the stairs safely. The insurer only reimbursed us a small amount for the wheelchair, but refused to reimburse us for the damaged stair climber and cushion because we no longer had invoices for this equipment.
The resulting financial consequences of the accident turned out to be much greater than I had anticipated. The compensation we have received is not enough to buy a car and replace the damaged equipment. And we do not have sufficient funds to cope with this.
According to my calculations, we are short about 20 000 €. This sum would allow us to buy a second-hand car, which would be adapted to my wife's special health needs. In addition, we would use part of the funds raised to buy a new stair climber and an anti-decubitus cushion, which are essential for the comfort and safety of my wife.
I would therefore like to ask you to support us with a donation so that we can restore our mobility and regain our sense of safety on the road, and so that my wife can return to her voluntary activities.
Any amount of money would be a huge support to us at this difficult time - especially for my wife, who is constantly helping others despite her own difficulties. We would appreciate any sum, even the smallest one. We believe in the strength of the community and that together we can reach this
goal.
Thank you for your interest and support to help us get back to normality.
