My best friend, comes from a culture where mutual support is paramount. Years ago, she found herself in a position where she needed to assist her family with refinancing. She co-signed a €50,000 loan and assisted them in paying off the bills on their various Mastercards. A total of 80.000-100.000 over 7 years. She was overjoyed when they successfully refinanced, but to her surprise, they wouldnt reciprocate by co-signing/equity for her when she wanted to buy an apartment years later.
she feels guillible, still has over €30,000 in debt, cant afford trips or vacations, and the amount barely decrease due to high interest rates. Despite knowing that others are struggling financially, she is determined to realize her dream of owning her own home, feeling that she has already done enough to help them. She has a heart of gold and could really need some help from kind souls that can give her some hope.
