Help us rebuild our apiary!
With my family, we own the apiary with 10 colonies.
The last storm Pia that stroke our land killed of 7 out of 10 colonies.
The hives were overturned or had their roofs torn off despite being weighed down with bricks.
The bees inside did not survive the bad weather conditions :(
Our apiary is not focused on maximum turnover and profit!
We do not transport beehives for nectar purposes, the hives have been in their places for last 4 years - since the start of our apiary.
Year after year, we expanded our apiary with our own work. We started with 3 hives and continued to expand while sharing our honey with neighbors and friends.
We made most of the hives ourselves.
We also raised new families ourselves, thanks to the knowledge and advice of our grandpa and dad.
We invited children from the kindergarten and school located nearby to our hives.
We organize free workshops, and we sell our honey without any additives or admixtures at affordable prices.
Everything we earn from honey we put back into the apiary.
Our entire honey stock runs out every year around Christmas.
Such disaster has never happened to us before...
Unfortunately, the storm took us back to the beginning of our journey...
We want to believe that it is a storm - not human activity - although the wind has never blown over the hives before...
We don't know what to answer to people who ask us about honey...
that it won't be available in 2024?
What shall we tell children who are involved in working in the apiary?
How to explain to preschoolers that hives they visit are empty?
We will repair the hives and frames ourselves, but please support us in purchasing bee colonies!
