Risk of blindness - help protect our future
Apraksts
I am a disabled person who is at risk of blindness - help protect our future, I am raising a small child who also has developmental and health problems.
Description of the disease
I suffer from a very serious visual impairment, which is the biggest reason for me to worry about my future health and the prospect of permanent employment.
Ophthalmological examinations revealed telescopic vision, numerous intraocular adhesions, and progressive myopia; the eyesight is in a terrible condition (one eye - the amblyopic eye - is the "better" eye, the other one has 80% blindness), the retina may probably become detached, which may result in complete loss of vision.
Doctors do not predict any improvement in vision, and what is worse, the vision is doomed to further worsening of the defect.
Surgery or laser corrections are not recommended due to the specific structure of the eyeball.
My child, whom I raise alone, has been diagnosed with aphasia, hyperactivity and bilateral hearing impairment. The child gets sick very often. Currently, he is undergoing speech therapy rehabilitation, WWR, and has audiological, laryngological and neurological check-ups every few months.
What is the fundsier for?
My biggest problem is the huge costs of rent, child care, purchasing medicines (I also suffer from Hashimoto's disease), covering the costs of rehabilitation and traveling to specialists.
I have no chance of being allocated a reasonable municipal premises (there are no available premises), and the waiting time can be several or several dozen years.
Additionally, I am studying - wanting to get a better job in the future.
My earnings are barely enough to cover the costs of my basic obligations, and I can only dream of additional diagnoses, consultations and rehabilitation.
Support in a difficult financial situation would be housing security, thus, by reducing expenses related to rent and constant moving, I will be able to provide myself and my child with better rehabilitation, treatment and future.
Why do I need such support?
My disability does not allow me to perform any job (due to the risk of losing my eyesight, I cannot lift, expose myself to shocks or work at the computer for more than 3-4 hours), and problems with varicose veins exclude me from work that requires constant staying in one position. .
Single motherhood and the child's developmental and health problems also require more attention and presence from me.
A number of these obstacles do not allow me to earn more and, consequently, to take buy of a small place of my own...
Housing security against the possibility of a significant deterioration of my health would, more importantly, provide a sense of stability, which is an extremely important factor in the child's fruitful therapy.
I sincerely hope that thanks to your help I will be able to calmly take care of my and my child's health and development future.
Thank you for every donation and I believe that the good shown will come back to you! :)
