The family from Australia and New Zealand welcomed their second son in Latvia a month ago, but the joy was overshadowed by an accident. Big brother Samuel (1.2 years old) poured boiling water on his neck and chest, from a cup of tea. He came to the Children's Clinical University Hospital, first in intensive care, then in the regular department for a week, but now he is at home with his parents. Since the family are not EU citizens and only have a temporary residence permit, the remaining treatment costs, of 2500 euro ($2722 US, $4121 Australian) must be paid. The family does not have the money right now to cover these expenses and would appreciate any help.
