In June 2025, our efforts to support Gaza’s besieged communities continued despite soaring prices and an intensified blockade. Early in the month, with the help of our new friend Bahaa Raouf from central Gaza, we distributed seventeen vegetable parcels in the central region and Mawasi Khan Younis. Each parcel contained one kilogram each of tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, and squash, plus 250 grams of peppers, valued at 228 shekels (~57 Euros) per parcel. Later in the month, on June 18, the Vegan for Gaza team delivered 33 food parcels in northern Gaza, each containing tomatoes, eggplants, green peppers, jute mallow, and rice, at a cost of 54 Euros per parcel.
These distributions took place under the shadow of the Israeli war machine’s deliberate annihilation of Gaza’s agricultural sector—over 90% of farmland has been rendered unusable since late 2023—and a total blockade on goods imposed since March 2. The so-called aid mechanism, run by foreign mercenaries and an armed militia backed by the occupation and financed by the UAE, has deepened the crisis, forcing people to choose between food and death. Our work in June was a direct act of resistance to this machinery of starvation. Watch a video.

Almost 2 million people in Gaza are facing severe hunger and famine, displaced Palestinians seeking refuge in UN schools or tents.
The intensifying Israeli aggression brings heightened brutality with an ongoing blockade on power, water, fuel, and food supplies in Gaza.
Despite the challenges, the local market still has some vegetables and legumes available, albeit at very high prices.
In November, as Vegans In Palestine and animal rescuers from Baladi Animal Rescue Shelter, we initiated a food parcel distribution effort, providing support to 77 displaced families in middle and southern Gaza.
Now, our goal is to support 1500 families (approx. 11000 people in need) dedicating thisVeganuary in solidarity with the people of Gaza.
How you can contribute:
- a single donation to feed a family in Gaza providing them with food parcels containing vegetables, legumes, rice, and cooking oil,
- organise vegan events in your area, with the proceeds directly deposited into Vegans In Palestine Campaign's donation link.
