160 Gazelle street, Eastridge in Cape Town used to be our home.

We lost our home when it was broken into

and later vandalized in 2018, water pipes were stolen and doors broken.

When we launch a claim to our insurance they took six months to take the matter serious, when we told them that now the house is being vandalised to nothing, they declined the claim.

There was nothing left, only the foundation left, Roof, walls and fence was stolen. We carried on paying the bond still just to keep our names clean even though there was no house( foundation only), but we got tired and stopped paying, the bank immediately sent us summons, threatening to take everything we have.....we then decided to make arrangements again to pay the bond.

We later decided to sell the plot(because it was no longer a house) just to take it out of our names. Again the bank (easy sell) did not help us, they did the same thing of asking for same documents over and over and the would not even bother to give feedback not unless we call. We later got the buyer and sold the plot at a loss, meaning we had a short fall to still pay. We are still paying the shortfall even today.

Since then,we don't have our own home and also unable to build or buy home for us.
