Help Me Save My Home and Start Again

My name is Diána, and for most of my life I have believed that hard work could overcome almost any obstacle.

I never imagined I would one day have to ask strangers for help.

For many years I worked hard to build a stable life. I ran a small tea shop, but like many small businesses, it did not survive the COVID period. Instead of giving up, I started over from scratch and built a sewing business.

I believed that if I worked hard enough, I could rebuild everything.

Unfortunately, over time it became increasingly difficult to find enough well-paid work. Orders became less frequent, and being located far from the capital made it harder to compete with businesses closer to major clients. In 2023, my sewing business also collapsed.

The debts remained, but I refused to stop fighting.

Since 2024, I have been working abroad, spending weeks away from home in order to earn enough money to meet my obligations and repay my debts. I have done everything I can to stay afloat and take responsibility for my situation.

For a while, I managed.

Then new financial pressures made it impossible to keep up with everything at once. Today I am facing mortgage debt, tax debt, and other financial obligations that have reached a critical point.

I currently live alone in my home in rural Hungary. It is not an investment property or a luxury house. It is simply my home — the place I have spent years building and maintaining. It is also the home of the animals who share my life and depend on me every day.

Another challenge is my family situation. My parents are elderly, and my mother suffered a stroke 15 years ago. Since then, she has been bedridden and requires daily care. Whenever I am home, I help my father with cooking, household tasks, and caring for my mother. Because of their age and my mother’s condition, it is difficult for me to spend long periods working abroad, even though I have tried to do everything possible to improve my financial situation.

The situation has now become urgent.

I have already fallen behind on several payments. If agreements are terminated, I could lose my home and the vehicle I rely on to travel for work. Without that vehicle, I may lose my ability to continue earning the income that keeps me going.

What hurts most is not the debt itself.

It is the possibility of losing everything I have worked for throughout my life.

Despite everything, I have not stopped believing in the future. I have spent years independently studying psychology and human behavior because I hope one day to continue my education and use that knowledge to help people who have experienced trauma and difficult life circumstances.

Right now, however, I am the one asking for help.

My goal is to raise €80,000 to address the most urgent debts, prevent the loss of my home, and give myself a realistic chance to recover and rebuild my life.

I am not asking for luxury or comfort. I am simply asking for a chance to keep my home, continue working, care for my family and animals, and rebuild a life that has been shaped by years of setbacks and responsibilities.

Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to keeping my home, continuing to work, and creating a future instead of losing everything I have spent years trying to build.
