CULTURAL ASSOCIATION THERAPEUTIC CANNABIS 'THE HEMP CLUB BOLOGNA

The cultural association 'the hemp club bologna', would be the first association in Bologna but not in Italy. Already present in Milan, Turin, Rome, Palermo, the cultural association aims at the culturalisation of the drug cannabis.

At the moment in Bologna about 300 people use the drug cannabis, data from the pharmacy of Pavaglione, the only one in Bologna to help the culturalisation of the drug.

Patients therefore have to go to the pharmacy and book their therapies.

The cultural association is responsible for setting up a pick-up and collection point, where the patient can use the therapy ordered from the pharmacy and collected for him/her, the association will collect the nominal and sealed therapy from the pharmacy for the patient. It will never interfere with the patient's therapy or open the pharmacy's security seal.

This not only makes it easier for the patient, who often has difficulty moving around and finding the drug at different times or even having to go to pharmacies in other cities, cuasa non-availability of the drug, it increases the aggregation especially for cases of serious or rare diseases, chemotherapies that destroy you not only physically but mentally.

Here in our association they can come and have their therapy with other people without shutting themselves away at home alone.

I would like to make it clear that many of the therapeutic cannabis therapies are oils or creams to be spread and ingested with food or drink, but many patients require the infusion therapy, to be consumed like cigarettes or with vaporizers and non-combustion devices.

The association would propose a compulsory membership for adults or accompanied minors (unfortunately many children have to use the drug to stimulate appetite or play after heavy therapy).

My father has Parkinson's and since he has been taking the drug therapeutic cannabis, he shakes much less and walks better, he is much more active and jokes around.

Obviously I am not a doctor but I see the situation every day, the drug therapeutic cannabis will never be a substitute for the drugs he takes, trouble never, but it helps patients a lot and does not get in the way of medical treatment.

As I repeat, a doctor will examine the patients and decide with his expertise. The association will also be a place of aggregation, we will commit ourselves, as already happens in other associations, to creating artistic activities, exhibitions, debates, cinema evenings, not necessarily concerning therapeutic cannabis.

Everything will depend on the space of the premises that you will give me. It will have to be on the ground floor or accessible by lift. Many patients are in wheelchairs or with walkers, the bathroom will have to be up to standard for the handicapped.

The association will also have, perhaps not immediately, a bar area, where hot and cold drinks will be sold, perhaps a cold table in case there are many patients during lunch hours. Many take their lunch break from work and will come by.

We will provide various services to our members and patients, there will be people to discuss problems and addictions, depressions and difficult moments.

In addition to moral support, there will be a social bookshop, where everyone can take or leave books, there will be music listening points (as in the 1970s) with headphones and record players, there will be DJ sets with music for everyone, and I was thinking of a 24-hour YouTube live broadcast to show everyone what we do without hiding anything.

The association will also propose evenings of debates and courses to bring people closer to therapeutic cannabis, and cannabis for different purposes, building, pharmaceutical, food .

For the logistics of the premises I will take care of it with the help of the association already existing in Milan, I require a premises with a minimum rent if not zero for a period of three

years, in which I foresee 1,000 memberships per year.

This forecast comes from a check of how many people signed a petition to liberalise the drug therapeutic cannabis in 2007 if I remember correctly, it amounted to 50000 signatures with first and last names including myself.

I don't think all of them will come to us for information but at least 1 in 10 will pass, then I think they will have increased by now

.the venue would be perfect in the centre, thanks to the bus and taxi connections, but even a little outside the city would be fine.
