Description
“I’m not just a diagnosis. I’m a person.”
My name is Petya, I’m 21 years old. About eight months ago, my life was turned upside down – I heard those words that nobody wants to hear:
“You have cancer.”
Pelvic cancer. Surgery is impossible – the risk is too great: paralysis or even death. I was left with only one choice – to fight. With strength. With tears. With hope.
But the illness took more than just my health. It took some of the people away from me too. Many began to avoid me – not because they don’t love me, but because they don’t know how to cope with it. And I just wanted someone to stay.
I don’t want to be alone. I don’t want to feel invisible. I’m still here. My heart is still beating. My soul is still dreaming.
I love nature. I love walking with my dogs. Watching car and motorbike races, feeling the thrill of life. I love music. Travelling. The simple moments when I’m happy.
My life has meaning. And it’s worth it.
I am writing to you today because I need help.
My treatment is expensive. Hope is even more precious.
If you can and are willing to lend me a hand – it will mean everything to me.
