Mrs Zosia is a 68-year-old pensioner from a small town near Siedlce. She has worked all her life as a seamstress, helping her neighbours and sewing outfits for communions and weddings. Last week her house burned to the ground in a fire caused by a short circuit in the electrical system.

She escaped the fire in slippers and a dressing gown. She has nothing left - not a roof over her head, not family photos, not the sewing machine that was her life. Today she lives at an angle with a neighbour, cries every day and doesn't know how she will cope next.

We want to raise funds to help Ms Zosia rent a small flat, buy basic equipment and clothes and rebuild at least a substitute for normality.
