DeliciousbyEvelyn SRL was founded back in 2014, the year my daughter Evelyn was born. The idea behind it was to run a small family business specialising in food preparation and catering. 

Years have passed and life has thrown up many challenges, but my dream of creating an honest kitchen, where food is both tasty and good for our bodies, has never been forgotten. 

So, in 2023, we used all our available savings and began setting up a small bistro, where we could put into practice the concept we had perfected over so many years, and thus Why Worry honest food venue was born — a small bistro where dishes are prepared using the highest quality ingredients, with no additives, no artificial preservatives, and no meat or vegetables treated with harmful chemicals. We want to cook healthily, using produce from local producers, adapting our recipes to the season so that our dishes are fresh, healthy and, at the same time, truly delicious. 

For us, ‘homemade food’ isn’t just a slogan – it’s a commitment. We prepare everything just like at home: from fresh chips (never frozen) and mash made from those same real potatoes, to freshly prepared sauces with natural ingredients, and carefully selected steaks for a perfect culinary experience. In our kitchen, you won’t find flavour enhancers, monosodium glutamate or other harmful additives. We believe in the power of simple, authentic ingredients combined harmoniously, and alongside many other dishes we’ll be preparing regularly, our menu will always feature:

● Gourmet sandwiches inspired by famous international recipes, made with artisanal panuozzo.

● Tender and juicy steak, cooked both in the oven and on the grill

● Homemade sauces (also available to buy)

● All-day breakfast – because breakfast shouldn’t have a time limit, and we’re absolute fans of eggs Benedict

● ‘Farm to table’ produce – we work directly with local farmers and producers and, despite the current logistical challenges, we are committed to bringing only fresh and authentic ingredients to your table

● Artisanal sweets

● Speciality coffee

How we got here:

Since the brand was founded in September 2023, we have invested everything we had in this vision. We have been on a journey full of challenges: from finding the perfect name and designing the logo, to fitting out the space and building the team. 

However, as we are entitled to change our minds, our associate and partner with whom we set out on this journey decided to withdraw from the project, so we had to find financial solutions to compensate for his departure, which is why we are presenting our project on this platform and sharing my story with you.

After a year and a half and an investment of around €28,000 (plus many unforeseen expenses), we have roughly two weeks of work left and need €8,500 to open the bistro as we had planned. So, to turn Why Worry into a must-visit culinary destination, we need your support! The amount we are aiming for represents a vital part of our budget, which will be invested in paying rent, utilities, stock and wages, with the venue 90% complete and ready for guests.
