My name is Jacek Lidwin. I am a documentary and art photographer from Poland.
My CV and short portfolio My site My Instagram
For over twenty years I have worked on long-term projects about memory, forgotten communities and Jewish heritage. My work has been supported by cultural institutions and shown in exhibitions and publications.
This past year my situation became very difficult. After losing the room where I lived, I became ill and was unable to work for several weeks. I am now staying in a temporary room at a youth hostel, trying to rebuild stability while living on very limited resources.
As a person on the autism spectrum with ADHD, sudden crises like this are especially destabilising. I am doing my best to stay functional and continue my documentary work, but at this moment I need support to cover basic living costs.
This fundraiser will help cover essential living expenses for the next 3–4 months:
• accommodation (approx. 1500 PLN / ~330 EUR per month)
• food (approx. 1000 PLN / ~220 EUR per month)
• medicines and daily necessities
• a small safety margin so I can regain stability and return to work
Your support will help me stay safe, recover fully, and continue my photographic projects — especially my work on Jewish memory in Poland.
If you can donate or share — thank you.
Every gesture truly helps.
— Jacek
