Please help a mother bring safety, protection, and peace back into her children’s lives

I am a mother who has spent many years fighting to protect her children. Both of my children consistently describe having endured severe suƯering while living with their father:

psychological abuse, physical mistreatment, and sexually oriented boundary violations.

What they report has taken away their sense of safety, their trust, and countless pieces of their childhood.

They have lived through years that would have been a nightmare for any child.

For years, I have been involved in a draining and extremely expensive custody battle in an effort to protect them. Now, as we reach the final and most critical stage of this legal fight, my financial resources are nearly exhausted—right at the moment when my children desperately need strong, experienced attorneys who can protect them, represent their voices, and ensure that the authorities act decisively.

Courage that inspires - but came at a high personal cost

Over the past seven months, my children have shown remarkable strength.

Despite their fear, their trauma, and the emotional burden they carry, they found the courage to open up fully to child protective services, the police, the court, and other authorities.

They spoke about the psychological, physical, and sexually oriented violence they say they experienced—things many adults struggle to talk about.

Their bravery was necessary.

But it pushed them to their limits.

The consequences of their long-term suffering and the stress of the current situation have been severe:

• intense panic attacks, triggered even by attempted phone contact from their father
• medical intervention, including the prescription of psychiatric medication to prevent emotional collapse
• panic-driven flight, such as the incident where my daughter ran out of school in fear that her father might take her against her will

These events show how deeply wounded they are - and how urgently they need stability and safety.

The current situation — and why it is so urgent

Out of concern for their emotional wellbeing, the court temporarily placed the children in a care facility.

When the judge directly asked their father whether he would respect the children’s wish to stay with me, he instead chose placement in an institution.

During their stay, a no-contact order applies to both parents.

However, the judge clearly stated that the children can return home to me sooner if the necessary legal steps progress quickly.

This progress only happens when skilled attorneys apply constant pressure and file all required motions, evidence requests, and protective measures.

This legal work is essential - but it is extremely costly.
