Hi!

I'm Jasper, and I'm a ginger castrated cat. My mommy made a scratching post for me from floor to ceiling, and I love it, but nothing will ever be as good as a cardboard box. I love to sleep on the dishwasher and in the basket on the washing machine. If you are looking for me on a sunny day, you will find me on my carpet next to the large window. If you sit down, I'm sure to be sitting on you. I'm also a good guide; I know how to help you find your way (to the refrigerator). I'm also a really good singer, and my favorite song is "Ode to Hunger."

My mommy and I need help. This year didn't start well. First, I felt dizzy and couldn't eat because of an abscess under my tongue. I was given antibiotics, and they helped me, but my vet wasn't happy with my blood results. I probably have kidney disease, which is why I felt dizzy, got an abscess, and couldn't eat. I had to change my diet because my kidneys can't remove phosphorus very well.

My mommy took me yesterday for a blood checkup and other tests to see if there is any improvement. I also need this for my first appointment with the dietitian. I had to stay at the vet the whole day because he found out that MY HEART IS TOO BIG. It's called cardiomyopathy, and it's common in cats.

My mommy is happy the vet found it so we can treat it with the help of a cardiologist, but she becomes overwhelmed with all those bills and is scared I will leave her because of money. My mommy is still studying so she can become a veterinary technician and help more animals. She has also been working since she was 15, but there hasn't been enough work lately for regular employees, and she's just a working student.

I know I'm a lot to handle with all those vet, dietitian, cardiologist, and medication bills I need, but I will do my best to get healthy so I can support my mommy.♡
