Hi!

This fundraiser is to help me move around so I can install city games wherever I am invited to go, so that the locals may experience The Game in person.

What is a city game?

It's a game that can be played in the city, with the purpose to discover an aspect of that city in a fun way. This game is especially tailored to the local culture, and is installed in the local tongue. The idea is that it can be played for free, and that those who played it, are invited to copy and export it to their own environment. The only rule is that it must be able to be played for free. Once that a free version is installed, it'll be possible to install versions that require money to play, but if that's the case, the money must be spent towards the game itself, (for example to pay for an entrance ticket to a national park) and not to pay the organisation of the game. The organisation should want to do it for free.

What is The Game?

The Game is a project that aims to turn the world into a playground. It is a way to get the whole world to pay together, and get everyone on the same team. This way it might be possible to get world peace and bring joy to the hearts of man. The Game has been in development since 2016 and is a one man project. Once that there are enough players who are familiar with the gameplay, The Game will become a non profit organisation ran by the players, who will be referred to as 'The Collective'. Together we will synchronise our actions and make our own lives better, and that of our environment. Everyone will be able to join The Collective, on the condition that they mean well with the project, and that they will not do any harm to the other players, and the environment in which we will be playing.

Why do I ask for money and what is it going to serve for?

I'm asking for money so that I don't have to combine any financial goal to The Game. When someone backs me, they will be backing the project itself, and enabling me to cultivate it, and spread it. I have invested a lot of money and time in this, and I could restrict myself to my current location, but I had one wish and that was to travel the world and be productive where I go. With The Game I have found the way to do that.

I understand if you're a bit hesitant to back me, and it's not a problem if you don't want to back me financially. There are plenty of ways in which you can help this project evolve, and I actually would prefer someone installing a game where they live over backing me to install a game somewhere else.

I'm trying something new here, and would like to pledge my dedication to installing games where many backers backed me. After having backed me, you'll receive a message with an email address that you can then contact to invite me/us to your city and install a game together.

Why would I back you?

Well, you could back me because you want to help me realise my dream, and if you would like to see the world become a happier place, that could be an other reason to back me. I don't want you to back me if you are suspicious about the intend of The Game. If that's the case, I'd say wait some time until it has become big enough that it's no longer dependant of me, but of a collective that shares my vision. This would of course have its downside since I intent to reward the early believers for their faith in me.
