Our financial struggles began over 20 years ago when Lars was involved in a serious car accident, which left us both hospitalized and our finances in disarray. Despite seeking help from debt counselors and tirelessly trying to climb out of debt, the burden has only grown over the years. We're now at a point where we're reluctantly selling our home, and even the apartment we rent is being sold, leaving us with a looming debt of $125,000. The weight of these challenges has been especially heavy for Sandra, who is deaf, adding an extra layer of difficulty to our journey. but despite the hardships, we remain hopeful.
