Hi! My name is Piotr. I'm collecting money for my fiancé's grandma who is recovering after a stroke. We currently live in the Philippines, where access to the healthcare is quite expensive.

Lola (Grandma) Edna is a warm, wonderful person who devoted herself to her family. Despite her age, she's very active and helps her family in any way she can. You won't find her sitting and killing time. She's always devoted her time to support her children and the grandchildren. She's a known and active member of her church community in Lipa City, Philippines.

Just a day after her 76th birthday, which we celebrated together, Lola Edna suffered a cerebral infarction, an ischemic stroke. Fortunately, one of her grandsons was able to find her soon and she was rushed to the hospital which saved her life. She's already out of the hospital, but there is still the unsettled balance that needs to be paid (as of 30/04/2025 - 121,133 Philippine Pesos - around 1900 Euros).

If this amount is not covered until 25/05/2025, there will be an additional cost of 25% of the total sum for the attorney, another 25% of the total sum for the trial cost and 1% of interest per month. The family would also undergo a City Hall trial. With these terms, the debt could quickly spiral out of control.

Unfortunately, Lola Edna's PhilHealth contributions as well as other sources were not able to cover all of the costs of her treatment, which quickly piled up to a huge sum. Too huge for the combined family's budget to bear.

The collected funds will be used to cover the medical bills for her treatment at the hospital.

She is not someone who just sits around and wastes her time. She always devotes herself to her family - her children and grandchildren. She is also active in her local church community in the town of Linden, Philippines.

Unfortunately, the day after her 76th birthday, she suffered a stroke. Fortunately, she was quickly found by her grandson and taken to hospital, which saved her life. She has now left her hospital, but unfortunately the lion's share of her medical bills and stay remain. As of this moment (30/04/2025) it is 121133 Philippine Peso, or about €1,900. If this amount is not paid in full by 25/05/2025 then additional costs will be imposed on the family - an additional 25% of the total amount for lawyer's fees, another 25% of the total amount for legal fees and 1% interest per month. Unfortunately, given these conditions, the amount of debt can quickly get out of control.

Unfortunately, the insurance that Edna's grandmother was covered by, as well as other sources, was not able to cover her medical costs in full. The remaining sum, after previous repayments, is beyond the family's financial capacity.

The funds raised will be used to pay off the remaining medical bills.
