Terje (age 35), our son-in-law, was very badly injured in a boat accident on Easter evening last year. After first having spent 3 months in the intensive care unit in a hospital, and the following 3 months in the rehabilitation unit, you no longer receive treatment in a hospital. Now it is the home municipality that will take over. The only problem is that the municipality does not have the resources to provide the services Terje needs in order for the brain damage to heal. Right now he is placed in a nursing home!! The follow-up is incredibly poor, and so is the food. Treatment sessions are constantly being canceled because they don't have time. The aim of this crowdfunding is to be able to move him to a private rehabilitation clinic where he can get the help and training he needs, which is absolutely essential in order to approach a normal life again.
