Descripció
The war in the Gaza Strip led to more than 33,000 Palestinians killed.
The vast majority of the population was displaced, forcing many to flee to the city of Rafah, located in the far south of Gaza.
The United Nations says food has become scarce, famine is imminent, and only a small number of Palestinians have been able to leave the besieged Strip.
Due to the difficulty of reaching Egyptian lands and the high cost of exit, it requires each adult to pay $7,500, and those under 16 years old, $2,500 to leave the Gaza Strip and flee the war.
During all this, ceasefire talks continue with no result in sight. Living conditions are getting worse, not to mention Israel's insistence on invading the city of Rafah.
I know a person named Mufid and these are his words to you. I hope we can help them. I am sure we can help together.
“I am Mufid al-Hindi, 70 years old, residing in Gaza City, Al-Shati camp.
My family, and my wife, Intisar Al-Hindi, who is 66 years old, and my daughter, Alaa Al-Hindi, who is 28 years old (she has special needs and has a large hole in the heart between the ventricles, and requires continuous treatment, which is not available due to the war) (3 * $7500)
My daughter, Mervat Al-Hindi, her husband, Ali Al-Hindi, and their four children (5*7500$) + (1*2500)
My daughter, Mona Al-Hindi, her husband, Bassem Al-Hindi, and their four children (5* $7500) + (1*2500)
My son, Muhammad al-Hindi, his wife, Nihal al-Hindi, and their two children (2*7500$) + (2*2500)
We were living in peace and security in our home until the war came on October 7, 2023, and destroyed all aspects of life, the home, and all our beautiful dreams. We are now residing in tents on the Egyptian border in Rafah, and the conditions of our lives and living are very difficult, as we were struck by weakness, illness, hunger, and cold due to the lack of electricity, water, medicine, and food, and accordingly. We want to leave Gaza abroad to treat my daughter, and we ask the world to help us with that.
My goal is to reach $130,000 so I can get my family out of this hell. Please help me. Any amount will be a step in this journey.
I hope that peace prevails throughout the world. May you stay safe.”
